On the 30th of January, 2019 the Sri Lankan Delegation experienced a historical event as the Delegation blessed and opened St. CLARET CENTER which will house as their Administrative building (curia) and the Publication.  His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, the Arch Bishop of Colombo Diocese Blessed and opened the house and the Chapel.  Speaking at the occasion, His Eminence iterated and appreciated the service rendered by the Claretian Missionaries in this Island nation.  He made a special mention about the ministry of publication by the Claretian Missionaries.

Shortly, Fr. Mathew Vatamattam, the Superior General who is on a visit to Sri Lanka presided over the First Holy Eucharist of the newly blessed chapel in the presence of Fr. Callistus Joseph, the Provincial Superior of the German Province, many members of the Claretian Family in Sri Lanka and well-wishers.

This house, in its former shape was the first community of Claretian Missionaries in Sri Lanka.  On the 24th of October, 1992, the community was established.  Since, then many historical events have taken place at this place and at the later stage, it housed the Claretian Publication.  The Sri Lankan Delegation will be erected as an Independent Delegation at the end of 2019 and as it grows with stature and grace, this house will serve for a better organized ministry.  The Delegation is obliged to the Almighty for His continuous abundant blessings.  And also the Delegation remembers gratefully the assistance and guidance received from the German Province.
