Six New Novices Begin Their Journey in the Claretian Novitiate

Kurunegala, Sri Lanka – September 7, 2025

The Claretians of the St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation rejoiced as six postulants officially entered the Novitiate on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Casa St. Claret, Kurunegala.

The entrance rite was presided over by the Major Superior, Fr. Joseph Jeyaseelan CMF, who formally received the candidates into the novitiate year. He was joined by the Prefect of Formation, Fr. Danushka Silva CMF, the Novice Master, Fr. Maria Arul, and other Claretians who gathered to witness this significant step in the life of the Delegation.

The new novices are:

  • Bobison Croos
  • R. Robert Stalin
  • S. Jerome Siranthan
  • W.G. Dinuka Devendra
  • Chivinda Jorge Eusébio Tchiteculo (Angola)
  • Pandas Roberto Carlos Francisco (Angola)

The novitiate year marks an intense period of spiritual deepening, community living, and formation in the Claretian charism, preparing them for their first profession of vows.
