Frs. Surendrakumar and Ronald Sujeevan attended a conference, named: “Migrant Workers: An Asian-Pacific Experience,” held in New Delhi from the 9th to the 11th of September, 2018. Issues surrounding labour migration- such as the rights of migrant workers, high fees on wired remittances, and inconsistent policies across nations were the focus of the conference. The participants consider this as a great occurrence where they could know more about this burning issue of migrant workers in the world. It also showed some glimpse of a new ministry that the Sri Lankan Delegation could possibly start up in the future.
