The Urban Council and the Association of the Northern Province have recognized Fr. Christy John for his social service rendered in the area of Vavuniya, and awarded him with ‘Ellune Virudu’ honour.
Fr. Devaseelan, CMF was also honoured with a few others by the Arivoloi Manram of North Colombo for the ‘Socio-Spiritual’ service rendered to the people of the estate sector in Colombo. He was felicitated on the 23rd of December, 2018 at Navalar Mandapam Mugathuvaram. Serendib congratulates him for this achievement.
