Inauguration and Blessing of the Mission House – Enselwatte
On the 02nd of July, 2022 Most Rev. Dr. Raymond Wickramasinghe Bishop of Galle. Inaugurated and blessed the mission house of Our Lady of Madhu Parish, Enselwatte. A limited number of priests from the Diocese, other dignitaries, and parishioners attended the Solemn Blessing. The major funding for this construction came from Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), Germany. We are grateful to the sponsors for their support to this mission parish.
Enselwatte Parish is the first mission place of Claretians to step into the diocese Galle to serve the people from 2020. It covers 120 families spread in 13 places. Fr. S.X. Ravikanth is serving as the parish priest and Fr. S.Jesuthasan is the assistant parish priest in addition to his ministry as a teacher.
This parish is the fifth parish currently pastored and administered by the Claretians. We have four other parishes in the dioceses of Badulla, Batticaloa, Jaffna, and Mannar.
