GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2013

The General Assembly of the Dependent Delegation of Sri Lanka took place from April 2nd to 6th 2013 at St. Claret Seminary, Kattuwa. Fr. Stefan Wolf, the Provincial Superior of the Province of Germany presided over the Assembly. Fr. Cyriac Njayarkulam was the moderator. The Assembly has started with Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joy Mariaratnam, the Delegation Superior.

The Assembly as usual began with a half a day study session. This time it was conducted by Mr. Shirley Wijesinghe, the senior Lecturer at the University of Kelaniya on Priesthood.

The official inauguration of the Assembly took place in the evening with the lighting of the oil lamp by Fr. Provincial. All members except who are in abroad were present. Mr. Kusal Perera, a political critic and journalist presented the National Situation.

There were reports submitted by the Formation Houses, Apostolates and Committees. The Delegation Economes and Superiors report also were presented. After the presentation of the reports issues were identified and prioritized and there were discussions.

Community prayers, lively discussions, community gatherings in the evening gave colour to the assembly.
