General Assembly 2012

The Claretians of Sri Lanka gatheredfor their annual General Assembly at St.Claret Seminary, Kattuwa from10^thto 12^th April 2012It was the first assembly after it was raised to the status of a Delegation.
There were 38 Claretians taking part in this important event this year in which Fr. Stefan Wolf, Provincial of Germany too participated.

All communities, apostolates and committees presented their reports.

The Assembly began on April 10^th Morning with the Study session. It was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Henry Silva, a well-known Bible scholar on Bible Apostolate

In the evening there was talk on National situationer.  His Excellency Geoff M. Doidge, the High Commissioner for South Africa to Sri Lanka spoke on “The role of Religious Leaders in building a ‘Just, peaceful and reconciled country – a South African Experience”. Many other religious around Kattuwa were also present.

Policies and Procedures in the Dependent Delegation of Sri Lanka was taken for discussion during the assembly.
