Frs. Rohan and Danushka at the Heart of Mary School

Frs. Rohan Pieris CMF and Danushka Silva CMF attended the Heart of Mary School for Formators conducted by the General Prefecture of Formationn. The course was held from the 18th April to the 7th July, 2017 in different places in Spain. The course was divided into three phases and each phase held in a different locations. It began in Vic, moved to Barbastro and concluded in Colmenar Viejo (Madrid). The program was attended by 24 Claretians from 14 major organisms.
The program aimed to form the formators of the Congregation in accordance with the charismatic and formative foundations of the Claretian identity, so that, the formators may be more equipped to accompany the formandi in their vocational discernment and growth. They were also given ample knowledge on the traditions of the Congregation and the spirit of the General Plan of Formation; a time to personalize and learn the Constitutions of the Congregation; a moment to be strengthen in the Word of God; be enriched with the exchange of formative experiences among formators of different parts of the world; and the possibility to develop one’s own skills in understanding and accompanying the formands.
Included in the programme were visits to different Claretian places, study of Claretian sources (Autobiography, constitutions and GPF), prayer integrations, workshops on personal accompaniment, sharing of experiences and cultural richness, and a synthesis paper on a formation related theme.
