Diaconate

On the Foundation Day of the Claretian Missionaries, the Claretians in Sri Lanka, celebrated the ordination to the diaconate of three Claretian Missionaries, namely: Abilas Mathuranayaham, Parington Leenas and Xavier Thipusious. The ordaining prelate was His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Christian Noel Emmanuel, the bishop of Trincomalee. During the Mass His Lordship shared his reflections about the importance of deacons in the Church and encouraged them to be faithful to their vocation. As they perform their ministry of service and proclamation of the Word, they need to be dedicated and practice what they preach.
