AsCLA Brothers’ Encounter

In the month of January, 2018, our Sri Lankan Delegation became the center for the encounter of Claretian Brothers in Asia. Participants from four organisms, namely the Philippine province, the Delegation of Korea, the East-Asian Delegation and the Sri Lankan delegation, took part in the six-day encounter, held from the 17th to 22nd. There were 14 participants all together, which consisted of both priests and Brothers. The participants visited St. Claret seminary, Kattuwa, CASA St. Claret novitiate in Kurunegala and Claret Nivas in Kandy, and strayed in each place encouraging the young seminarians to embrace the Claretian brotherhood. The student Alveenas Rojes, CMF, the first Brother candidate from Sri Lanka, with the support of many others spearheaded the events. At the end of the encounter, the participants also made some action plans in order to promote vocations for the Brotherhood.
