A reflection on the life of parish pastors

A parish is a church territorial unit constituting a division within a diocese. A parish is under the pastoral care and clerical jurisdiction of a parish priest, who might be assisted by one or more curates, and who operates from a parish church. Being a parish priest is not as easy a task as it looks. It demands a lot from the person. Knowing this fact, the Delegation council organized a programme to help all parish priests of Claretian mission in Sri Lanka. It was held on 18th and 19th of April, 2016 at St. Claret Seminary, Kattuwa. Fr. Jesu Doss, CMF, the director of the Claretian Spirituality Centre in Vic was the resource person. He focused much on the vision and the idea that St. Claret had on parish pastoral ministry. Many members of the delegation, especially the priests who are part of the parish ministry, were present for the programme.
