173rd Foundation Day and Delegation Assembly
The fourth day of the First Assembly of the JVID is very special and unfolded with many events and activities. The morning session began with the elaboration of the dreams that will guide the Delegation in line of three process like Congregation going forth, Being a community of witnesses and messengers and Men who adore God in the Spirit ; at 11:30 am the Delegation celebrated the 173 Anniversary of Foundation Day of our “Querida Congragacion” Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the Solemn Eucharist presided by Fr. Matthew Vattamattam, CMF, Superior General of the Congregation and president of the Assembly.
In the Eucharistic celebration, two students, from St. Charles Lwanga Independent Delegation, Ken Omondi and Joseph Sewanyana renewed their Religious Vows.
In the evening sessions the assembly members continued sharing the dreams formulated; after, which Fr. General announced the new leadership team of St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation; namely Fr. Jeyaseelan CMF as Delegation Superior, Fr. Sateesh CMF as econome & consulter, and Frs. Maria Arul CMF and Everest Dias CMF as consulters.
Later during the evening prayer, the newly elected Delegation Superior Fr.Jeyaseelan CMF took oath in front of the superior General as all the members witnessed it. Then the new leadership team started to function after receiving the appointment letter from General.
After the prayer all the members of the Delegation celebrated the anniversary of the congregation in very creative and recreative way which concluded with fellowship dinner.
